Nova Scotia Black Bear Hunting
DHG will be offering guided, baited Black Bear Hunts for the Fall of 2024.
Due to the explosion in the Bear population in Nova Scotia and a tremendous amount captured on our deer baits early in the season we feel we can offer an amazing hunting opportunity for these amazing animals.
The lack of resident bear hunters, the major decline in the fur industry, and nearly a decade of mild winters has contributed to the balloon in the population.
Because we are offing this as a NEW opportunity at DHG & we haven't had past Bear Hunters, so unfortunately we simply don't have Harvested animal pictures to show you, although below you can see trail cameras pictures from the 2023 Whitetail season in this same area.
We are extremely confident that you will see multiple bears while you're here hunting with us.
We will be limiting this hunt to 2 hunters a week as to offer a quality experiance & low pressure on the sites!
Set on a beautiful mountain river with Sea Run Brown Trout & Wild Atlantic Salmon running during the month of September and October. (See our Combo Trips)
The camp is off grid and is equipped with Solar Power and Hot Running water.
Has an open concept for sleeping upstairs, full kitchen, dinning and lounge area making your stay comfortable.
Food will consist of home style meals, Amazing Smoked & BBQ dishes and even some local favorites... Do you Like Seafood?

Your hunt will start at the Halifax Stanfield Airport (YHZ) where we will pick you up and have just a little over and hours drive to the Camp where you will spend the duration of your trip.
You will be hunting over active Bear bait site from either Ground Blinds and or Tree Stands with most setups within 50 yards of the bait, offering great up close opportunities
